Butterfly Farming
About - Sadi Mbarouk Mfamau
Sadi is 27 years old and lives the village of Pete with his wife and their three children, who range in age from 9 months to 8 years old. Currently, Said earns money from chopping down trees to sell as firewood and charcoal. He earns about 50,000 to 60,000 TZS ($US 30 to 40) each month. However, it is hard work and he knows that it is destructive to the environment in Zanzibar, especially because deforestation is already a major problem. Because of that, he is excited about the opportunity to switch to butterfly farming to earn his living.
