Marine Cultures
Marine Cultures is a non-profit organization headquartered in Zurich
with a branch on the island of Zanzibar. The organization is funded
through membership fees, donations, and project grants. Marine
Cultures uses aquaculture development projects to support the
establishment and expansion of environmentally sound, sustainable
harvesting of sea resources in coastal communities that are highly
dependent on fishing. The organization works closely with the local
population and actively seeks collaboration with researchers in the
fields of aqua culture and marine protection.
