Mjachwe is a cassava and yam farmer who is hoping to help open a dairy in Makangale, where she lives in northern Pemba off the coast of mainland Tanzania. She is 38 years old and originally from the town of Maziwa Ng'ombe. She is married and she and her husband have 5 children ranging in age from 8 to 18 years old. Her husband also farms and together they earn US$ 60 to 125 (100,000-200,000 TZS) each year.

As part of the Makangale group, Mjachwe is looking forward to helping to open the Makangale branch of Pemba Fresh, the island's first dairy farm, where she and the group will care for the cattle and produce fresh milk, eventually expanding to cheese, yogurt, butter, ghee, and other products. Through dairy farming, Mjachwe has the potential to vastly increase her income and improve her daily life.
