Mohammed is 30 years old and lives in the village of Pete on the island of Zanzibar. He and his wife have two children--a 7 year-old, who is in school, and a 2 year-old. Mohammed and his wife farm cassava and bananas and earn about 90,000 TZS (about US$55) each month. With help from 50/50, Mohammed is looking forward to becoming a butterfly farmer, through which he could earn as much as an additional 400,000 TZS (about US$250) each month.
